You’re Stuck—And You Know It
WHEN WORDS AREN’T ENOUGH
You’ve been in therapy. You’ve talked about it. But something’s still lodged in your body. The tension won’t release. The anxiety won’t lift. You’re doing all the “right” things, but you’re not getting unstuck.
You feel it in your body
The knot in your stomach. The tightness in your chest. The tension in your shoulders that never goes away. Your body id holding something your mind can’t articulate. You know it’s there, but you can’t talk your way out of it.
You’re stuck in the same patterns
The same anxiety. The same triggers. The same reactions. You understand why you do it, but understanding doesn’t change it. You’ve gained insight, but you haven’t gained freedom. You’re still stuck.
Talk therapy exhaust you
You’re tired of retelling the story. Tired if analyzing. Tired of trying to find the perfect words to describe what you feel. Sometimes talking about it just makes you feel worse. You need a different way in.
Nothing seems to shift
You’ve tried therapy. Medication. Breathing exercises. Journaling. You do the work, but he weight doesn’t lift. The pain doesn’t move. You’re functioning, but you’re not healing. Something deeper needs to change.
The trauma is buried deep
You can’t always remember what happened. Or you remember pieces, but they don’t connect. The feelings are there—shame, fear, range—but you can’t trace them back to a source. Your brain won’t let you access it through words alone.
Your body won’t calm down
Even when you’re safe, your body acts like you’re not. Your heart races. Your muscles tense. You can’t relax. Your nervous system is stuck in threat mode, and no amount of rational thinking can convince it otherwise
HOW BRAINSPOTTING WORKS
Process Trauma Through Your Body, Not Just Your Words
Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy that works with where you look to access where trauma is stored. By holding your gaze on a specific point in your visual field—a “brainspot”—your brain can process what’s been stuck in your midbrain and nervous system. You don’t have to find the words. Your body already knows.
Where you look affects how you feel
Your therapist uses a pointer to guide your eyes to different positions. As you follow it, you notice where your body sensations, emotions, and thoughts become most intense. That’s your brainspot—the eye position that unlocks what’s been stuck.
Your therapist is a witness, not an interrogator
There’s very little to talk in Brainspotting. Your therapist holds space while you process. They check in gently, but they’re not asking you questions or pushing you to analyze. You’re not performing for them. You’re just being with what comes up.
Your body leads, not your words
You don’t have to explain what happened. You don’t have to describe the trauma in detail. Brainspotting is somatic—it works with what you feel in your body. The tension in your chest. The knot in your stomach. Your body holds the map.
The intensity comes in waves
As you hold your gaze on the brainspot, feelings and sensations will rise and fall. Like meditation, you let them come, you notice them, and you let them pass. Your brain is finishing the processing it couldn’t complete when trauma happened.
WHAT CHANGES
When Your Body Finally Let’s Go
After several Brainspotting sessions, clients describe shifts like these:
The physical tension releases
The know in your stomach loosens. Your shoulders drop. The chronic pain that’s been with you for years starts to ease. Your body finally gets the message that it’s safe to let go.
Memories lose their charge
What used to send you into panic or shame doesn’t anymore. The memory is still there, but it’s not electrified. It’s just a thing that happened. It doesn’t control you.
You’re not stuck there anymore
The patterns that kept repeating finally break. The triggers that used to derail you don’t have the same grip. You’re not spinning in the same loop. You’re moving forward.
Your nervous systems calms down
You’re not on high alert all the time. You can relax. You can sleep. Your body stops acting like danger is around every corner. You feel safe in your own skin.
You feel things without being overwhelmed
Emotion come up, but they don’t flood you. You can sit with discomfort without shutting down or spiraling. Your present with your feelings.
You trust yourself again
You listen to your gut. You make decisions without second-guessing everything. You know you can handle what comes. You’re not fragile. You’re resilient.

Our Approach
Brainspotting was developed in 2003 by Dr. David Grand and has been used successfully to treat trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Research shows significant reduction in PTSD symptoms after just three sessions. We combine Brainspotting with trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and a deep understanding of how the body stores and release trauma. This isn’t about willpower or positive thinking—it’s about giving your brain and body the conditions they need to finish the processing they couldn’t complete when trauma happened.
